At the Regina Margherita Children’s Hospital in Turin, the short film “Crumbs to the Sky” was filmed, telling the true story of Giordano, a six-year-old boy who went through an extraordinary journey. In July 2023, while in Tuscany, Giordano fell seriously ill and was urgently hospitalized. For months, he lived connected to an artificial heart while waiting for a transplant. Finally, in 2024, a donor heart arrived, saving his life. The film, directed by Gian Francesco Tiramani and produced by the Cineclub G. Cattivelli of Piacenza, aims to raise awareness about organ donation and to offer a concrete message of hope to the more than 8,000 people in Italy currently waiting for a transplant. The Fashion Team agency contributed pro bono by assisting with the selection of the children involved in the project.
Giordano’s role was portrayed by Giacomo Ramello, who took part as a stand-in, generously dedicating his time and effort to bring this powerful story of rebirth and courage to the screen.
