From June 27 to July 3, 2025, Turin will host “Breaking Jail”, an extraordinary event that blends fashion, art, and social commitment within the innovative setting of Green Pea. Born as a spin-off of Torino Fashion Week and promoted by Fashion Team Società Benefit, the project shines a light on hidden talents behind prison walls, turning incarceration into an opportunity for redemption. Through fashion shows, workshops, and photography exhibitions, inmates become active protagonists, showcasing the skills they’ve developed in tailoring, cooking, theater, and visual arts workshops. “Breaking Jail” is more than an event: it is a manifesto for inclusion, dignity, and the right to start over. A bridge between institutions, businesses, and civil society, where art becomes a tool for cultural change. The initiative aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on education, decent work, and reducing inequalities.
